When temperatures drop below 7°C, standard tyres are less effective on both dry and wet surfaces or in snow.
For example: at 90km/h and a temperature of 5°C, the stopping distance for a car fitted with winter tyres is 66 meters, which is 4 meters less than with classic tyres, i.e. the length of a pedestrian crossing.
Focus on safety:
Winterstar tyres fall into the same category as the tyres developed by the largest European manufacturers.
The asymmetrical tread pattern ensures better handling on dry, wet or snow-covered surfaces. In addition, Winterstar tyres are now made of an all-silica rubber compound which provides better acceleration and braking performance.
Like all the tyres in the Point S range, Winterstar tyres are certified by the European tyre label. You will find all the details regarding performance listed by tyre size in the range table below.
In addition to the criteria implemented by the European Union, the engineers who were involved in the development of the Winterstar tyre have also considered a variety of factors - dry braking performance, exterior and interior tyre noise, as well as optimised longevity and fuel efficiency – in order to provide enhanced comfort and safety.
